Over the years, my journey in physiotherapy has taught me one simple truth: the human body is far more intelligent and capable than we often realize. When movement is understood correctly, when the body is supported in the right way, it has an extraordinary ability to recover, adapt, and grow stronger. This belief has shaped the way I practice, teach, and think about healthcare.
When I began my work in physiotherapy, I saw an opportunity to do things differently. Rehabilitation did not have to be limited to treating pain or injuries. It could become a science of movement, one that helps people understand their bodies better, recover with confidence, and continue living actively long after treatment ends.
Over the years, I have had the privilege of learning from some of the finest minds and institutions around the world. Those experiences reinforced my belief that physiotherapy, neurorehabilitation, and fitness should not exist in isolation. When brought together thoughtfully, they create a powerful ecosystem for healing, performance, and long-term wellbeing.
Today, my work continues to evolve with that same purpose. Whether it is through clinical care, advanced rehabilitation, or exploring emerging fields like regeneration and longevity, the goal remains the same: to help people move better, live stronger, and unlock the full potential of their bodies.

While pursuing his post-graduation in Pune, Dr. Aalap Shah began conceptualizing a new kind of healthcare center focused entirely on movement, recovery, and performance. At a time when physiotherapy in India was largely limited to small clinical practices, he envisioned a specialized ecosystem combining physiotherapy, fitness, and rehabilitation under one roof. This early idea was rooted in the belief that movement science could transform how people heal and live. The foundation for what would later become Mission Health was laid during this phase.
The vision became reality with the launch of the first Mission Health centre in Dharnidhar, Ahmedabad. This centre introduced a structured, science-driven approach to physiotherapy and rehabilitation that was still uncommon in India at the time. The facility quickly gained attention for integrating therapeutic exercise, clinical physiotherapy, and recovery programs in a single space. It marked the beginning of a journey to redefine physiotherapy as a comprehensive movement science.
With the launch of the second Mission Health centre at Drive-In Road in Ahmedabad, the organization expanded its reach and capabilities. This centre introduced the concept of super-speciality physiotherapy, bringing focused expertise and structured treatment protocols into practice. It also allowed the team to serve a larger patient community and experiment with advanced rehabilitation models. This phase marked the transition from a single clinic to a growing healthcare ecosystem.
The third centre opened in Maninagar, Ahmedabad, bringing Mission Health’s services to another major part of the city. By this stage, the organisation had already begun building a reputation for evidence-based physiotherapy and structured rehabilitation programs. The expansion also meant growing teams, improved treatment systems, and a stronger focus on patient education. Each new centre helped bring advanced movement science closer to the community.
The fourth Mission Health centre was launched in Bopal, Ahmedabad, marking another important milestone in the organisation’s expansion. The growing network reflected increasing trust among patients seeking specialized physiotherapy care. Alongside clinical services, the focus also expanded toward preventive health, ergonomics, and long-term movement correction. This phase helped establish Mission Health as one of the region’s most comprehensive physiotherapy providers.
The launch of the Chandkheda centre marked the fifth branch of Mission Health. By this time, the organisation had grown into a structured system of physiotherapy centres serving a large patient base across Ahmedabad. With expansion came greater investment in technology, training, and clinical protocols. The focus was not just on growth but on raising the standard of physiotherapy practice.
During this period, Dr. Aalap Shah undertook extensive knowledge exchange programs across the world, including visits to Chicago, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Washington DC, Switzerland, Germany, Italy, Finland, Singapore, China, Hong Kong, and Korea. These visits allowed him to study advanced rehabilitation technologies and movement science concepts from leading international institutions. The knowledge gathered during these experiences was brought back to India and integrated into clinical practice. In 2018, Mission Health launched its sixth centre, the Centre of Excellence in Science City, Ahmedabad, reflecting this global vision.
Mission Health’s seventh centre, another Centre of Excellence, was launched in Satellite, Ahmedabad. This centre further strengthened the organisation’s advanced rehabilitation capabilities and its commitment to bringing global standards of physiotherapy to India. By this stage, the organisation had evolved into one of the largest physiotherapy networks in the region. The expansion also allowed for stronger integration between physiotherapy, neurorehabilitation, and fitness-based recovery.
The year 2024 marked a major phase of expansion with multiple new developments. Mission Health launched its eighth centre in Nikol and expanded beyond Ahmedabad with a Centre of Excellence in Surat, marking the ninth branch. The organisation also introduced a state-of-the-art Advanced Robotics Rehabilitation facility, bringing cutting-edge technology into neurorehabilitation and recovery programs. These developments reinforced the vision of building one of India’s most advanced movement science ecosystems.
The expansion continued with the launch of the eleventh Mission Health centre in Vadodara. This marked another step in bringing advanced physiotherapy and rehabilitation services to new regions. With each new centre, the organisation continues to expand its reach while maintaining a strong focus on innovation and quality care. The long-term vision remains the same: to build a future where movement science plays a central role in healthcare.
